First, her dress was themed to a tee. Not only were there little velvet hearts adorning the white taffeta-type puffy sleeves and flowy skirt, but the bodice section of the dress resembled a heart, too. The shape of it at the bottom was pointed down, just like the bottom tip of a heart.
Her earrings and ring featured a red “stone” in the middle, rather than the usual diamond jewelry Barbie tended to wear.
She also came with some very original accessories. There was a little plastic container full of heart-shaped stationery about the size of a medium post-it. The lid to the container was molded with a Barbie face on it with a pretty good amount of detail.
And she came with a little stamp that said “I♥U.”
No wonder this 80s Barbie was so popular—and is so “lovingly” remembered.
These 80s Barbies, shown in their original outfits, were made to resemble what they looked like in the box as much as possible. However, shoes that have been lost may have been substituted.
